FDP politician wants to abolish GEZ



The media-spokesperson of the FDP parliamentary group, Burkhardt Müller-Sönksen wants to abolish the license fee and instead introduce a levy on all income earners media.
The levy should be "at about ten euros per month and are significantly lower than the current license fee" of € 17.98, the FDP politician writes in "Hamburger Abendblatt" (Saturday edition). Collected media was to be the duty of every adult with private income that exceeds a minimum income to be specified.
The Inland Revenue will collect the new levy after the performance Müller-Soenksen. "The GEZ-bureaucracy is no longer necessary," argues the FDP politician.
In the media release it were not a tax because it is purpose: "They must only be used to finance public broadcasting."
